On the Water-Elliot Schildkrout

            These images emerged from years of drifting through shallow turquoise waters in search of bonefish and tarpon.  While my friends fished, I’d fall into a quiet place as the flats boat silently glided across these magical waters.  Always the same, yet everchanging, the turquoise flats quiet the soul.  I wanted to capture that enchantment and blissful peace that would drift over me as the days passed.  I photographed the waters in slow motion, then merged and blended the images to capture my experience of the sublime beauty of the endless sea and merging skies.   Take a few breaths and feel the quiet and timeless beauty as you drift through the water.
